Latavius Murray Tallies 64 Rushing Yards And Touchdown
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Latavius Murray carried the ball seven times for 64 yards and a touchdown in a 34-31 victory over the Carolina Panthers. The 29-year-old ran hard, picking up a season-high 9.1 yards per carry. Murray was out-touched by fellow back Alvin Kamara 20-seven, though he made his touches count. He scored his sixth touchdown of the year on a 26-yard scamper and out-gained Kamara on the ground. Murray has averaged nearly nine touches per game since Coach Sean Payton alluded to a more even workload. Depending on the matchup, he'll provide decent-to-strong flex value from week-to-week. Murray and the Saints will play the Atlanta Falcons and their 18th-ranked rushing defense on Thanksgiving.
