Larry Nance Jr.'s New Role Hurts His Value
7 years agoCleveland Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr. had a rough start to his Cavaliers career when it comes to fantasy, but he filled a much-needed rebounding role in the Cavaliers second unit. He will get minutes every night and his athleticism fits with the Cavaliers offense. His nightly production will be modest because Nance is more of a positional defender that would rather box out his man, allowing someone like Tristan Thompson to grab an easy rebound. This will matter when it comes to fantasy because it gives him minimal relevance. Unless an injury happens, expect Nance to lose fantasy value within his role. He will be the primary rebounder for the second unit and the Thunder have strong rebounding bench led by Jerami Grant. Nance will have his chances and will be a high-impact player, but his new role is not ideal for fantasy owners.
