Lane Thomas 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Potential For Another 20/20 Season
21 mins agoCleveland Guardians outfielder Lane Thomas saw a change of scenery in 2024, coming over to Cleveland from the Nationals in exchange for three prospects. Even with Jhonkensy Noel emerging at the plate and Chase DeLauter likely making his MLB debut in 2025, playing time looks safe for Thomas. With speed, arm strength, and experience, Thomas seems locked in as the full-time CF for Cleveland in 2025. With his RotoBaller ranking of 158 and an NFBC ADP of 171.08, he should be readily available in the middle rounds and makes for a sneaky late pick as a third or fourth outfielder in leagues that require you to start five. The 29-year-old put up a respectable 15 homers last season, but this is slightly down from the 28 he mashed in 2023. However, he ended the season on a high note by crushing seven home runs across 25 games in September. Perhaps the most enticing thing about Thomas is his consistency across all categories, exemplified by 32 stolen bases in 2024. He is projected to hit fifth in the batting order, and another 20/20 season is certainly possible. ATC projects Thomas to slash .244/.311/.408 with 17 home runs and 24 stolen bases in 2025, making him a solid pick at his current NFBC ADP.
