Lance Lynn Implodes In Sixth Inning
6 years agoFor the majority of Wednesday night’s start against the Miami Marlins at Marlins Park, New York Yankees starter Lance Lynn managed to keep the opposing offense in check. Although he put runners on in each of the first four innings, he managed to record five shutout innings while his offense mustered up one single run. In the sixth, however, he collapsed completely, giving up two hits to lead off. After an out, he allowed another hit and then a lethal, three-run home run. Lynn would surrender five runs, all in the sixth, en route to a second consecutive outing of five runs surrendered. While the Yankees shouldn’t panic yet, another performance of this magnitude is troubling.
