Lance Lynn Gets The Start Thursday Versus Giants
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn will take the ball Thursday as the White Sox play host to the visiting San Francisco Giants. Lynn was solid in his first outing of the season on March 31 against the Astros in Houston as he turned in 5 2/3 innings of two-run ball on three hits -- albeit with four walks -- against six strikeouts but did not factor into the decision. The veteran right-hander worked to a 3.99 ERA across 21 starts last season, the second-highest mark of his career as he'll enter Thursday's contest with a career 3.52 mark. The Giants have been a solid offense in the early going but their 31.7% K% as a team is the second-worst mark in baseball.
