Lance Kendricks Trending Towards Starter's Role
5 years agoNew England Patriots tight end Lance Kendricks is getting closer and closer to earning the starting tight end position. Kendricks caught one pass in the second preseason game but it was a nice 28-yard grab. The veteran has 241 and 2,505 yards in his career but failed to produce playing for the Packers Aaron Rodgers the past two seasons. The Patriots are thin at tight end with Matt LaCosse dealing with an ankle injury, Benjamin Watson suspended the first four games and future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski now retired. Quarterback Tom Brady loves utilizing the tight end in the passing game so Kendricks could see some targets. Despite the intriguing situation, Kendricks is expected to hit the waiver wire once fantasy drafts are done.
