LaMonte Wade Jr. To Take Batting Practice On Tuesday
6 months agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman/outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) will take batting practice on Tuesday. Wade has been rehabbing in Arizona and started his throwing and hitting progressions last Wednesday. He injured his left hamstring after sliding into second base for a double in the team's May 27 win over the Philadelphia Phillies, and an MRI exam revealed a Grade 2 strain. Wade was put on the 10-day injured list on May 28 and is expected to miss around four weeks. We'll have a better idea of how much longer the 30-year-old will be out once he resumes running the bases. Wade hasn't provided many counting stats in 129 at-bats in 2024, but he's hitting a strong .333 (43-for-129) as the team's primary first baseman when healthy.
