LaMonte Wade Jr. Starts Throwing And Hitting
6 months agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) started throwing and hitting activities over the past couple days during his rehab in Arizona. The Giants' lefty injured his hamstring in a hard slide against the Phillies on May 27th and was expected to miss at least four weeks, putting him out until at least the last week of June. Wade Jr. was having a phenomenal season, hitting for a 167 OPS+ with 17 RBI and 22 runs scored. The Giants have gone 2-6 without Wade Jr. active and will need to find a way to replace his offensive production. Fantasy managers should target Wilmer Flores and Trenton Brooks while Wade Jr. continues to recover.
