LaMonte Wade Jr. Optioned To Triple-A
3 years agoThe San Francisco Giants optioned outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. to Triple-A on Monday. The move was made to clear roster space for Alex Dickerson and Darin Ruf, who were both activated from the injured list. Infielder Jason Vosler was sent to Triple-A as well. Wade's demotion was a bit of a surprise as he's hit well in his first stint with the Giants. He had been utilized as the team's primary leadoff hitter over a good chunk of June. Over 26 games this year, he's slashed .265/.344/.470 with four home runs, two stolen bases, 11 RBI and 13 runs. He'll likely be the first call-up if the team suffers another injury in the outfield.
