1 year agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman/ outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. (back) exited Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves with an apparent back injury. The 29-year-old was removed from Saturday's contest after grabbing his lower back after logging a base hit during the seventh inning. Wade has been dealing with ongoing back and side tightness all season. He went 2-for-4 with a solo home run before exiting. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time, and he is considered day-to-day. Casey Schmitt replaced Wade in Saturday's game and would see an uptick in at-bats if Wade were to miss any additional time.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
