LaMelo Ball Won't Make Season Debut On Saturday
2 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) won't suit up against the Heat. Ball hasn't played yet this year after spraining his left ankle in the preseason. Fortunately, he's expected to make his 2022-23 debut sooner rather than later. The Hornets will also continue operating without Cody Martin (knee) and Gordon Hayward (shoulder), opening the door for Terry Rozier, P.J. Washington, and Kelly Oubre Jr. to see an uptick in production. Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle) would also be a favorite to benefit. However, considering he's carrying a questionable tag heading into this one, James Bouknight may see some additional minutes.
