LaMelo Ball Out On Wednesday Night
1 day agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) won't play on Wednesday against the Nets. The 2020 No. 3 overall pick logged nine minutes in Monday's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers before exiting with a left ankle sprain. Unfortunately, It's certainly seems as if he'll miss more time beyond Wednesday's contest, with the Hornets planning to update his condition "as appropriate." Charlotte is already down Brandon Miller (wrist). But now the team will be without Ball, who has averaged a career-high 28.2 points with 7.3 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.4 steals. While there's no denying his talent, his inability to remain healthy over the years, especially as it relates to multiple ankle injuries, has been frustrating for fantasy managers. At any rate, while Ball is on the shelf, Vasilije Micic, averaging 11.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in 12 starts this season, will likely fill the void in the rotation.
