He has posted a career-high 26.3 points with 7.1 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals during the 2024-25 campaign. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old is once again battling an ankle issue, which has been a common theme for him since entering the league in 2020. With the Hornets not expected to earn a spot in the Play-In round, the team has no incentive to rush him back, meaning KJ Simpson may find himself spending more time at the one.
