6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points on 13 of 19 shooting from the floor in Wednesday's victory over the Nuggets. The 33-year-old also pulled down four rebounds and contributed two assists along with one steal. He was the Spurs only offense in the second quarter as he scored 12 of the team's 21 points on six of seven shooting to keep San Antonio in the game as they took a 55-53 halftime lead. It was his eighth 20-point game in 13 December games. While his scoring numbers are up from November, the 13-year vet has struggled on the boards as he is grabbing just 6.7 this month. Aldridge will look to score in double-figures for the 20th game in a row against the Nuggets on Friday.--Daniel Benjamin
