Lamar Jackson Turned Down $133 Million In Guarantees
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson tweeted that he turned down a three-year, $133 million fully guaranteed offer from the Ravens. Instead, the Ravens placed the $32.4 million non-exclusive franchise tag on the dual-threat quarterback, and they'll have until this summer to work something out long term. Jackson is operating as his own agent, and interested teams will be able to make him offers in free agency this week. Baltimore will have the right to match any offer sheet that the 26-year-old may sign with an organization, or they could accept two first-round picks as compensation for letting Jackson leave. Once Aaron Rodgers' future is decided, Jackson will be the NFL's biggest offseason storyline.
