Corey LaJoie Has Career-Best Starting Position At His Best Track
2 years agoIn Thursday night's Duel race, Corey LaJoie was another "underdog story" driver that shined when the checkered flag waved. When it was all said and done, LaJoie and his #7 Chevrolet ended up finishing 5th, which means he will start from a career-best position of 12th for Sunday''s Daytona 500. This track has been one of the best on the schedule for LaJoie, as he has an average finish of 19.0 over 12 career starts at Daytona, including three top 10 results. LaJoie's last three Daytona 500 results have been 14th, 9th, and 8th, so there's definitely a good amount of optimism in the Spire Motorsports camp heading into Sunday.
