LA Kings' Anze Kopitar Wins Selke Trophy
6 years agoLos Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar has won the Selke Trophy, which represents the best defensive forward, for the second time in the past three seasons. He led all NHL forwards in total ice time, average ice time per game (22:05), and short-handed ice time (2:10 per game). He took third in the NHL for total face-offs (1,816) and face-off wins (983), setting career highs in both categories. Kopitar posted 92 points (35 goals, 57 assists) and ended the seasons at plus-21. He had a breakout year, putting up his best numbers yet. Look for more exciting things to come from Kopitar in the upcoming season.
