Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving had a rough showing in Thursday's exhibition loss to Minnesota in Abu Dhabi. Luka Doncic scored a game-high 25 points in this one. However, Irving struggled, going 1-for-6 from the field to finish with two points. The 31-year-old was traded to the Mavericks ahead of last season's deadline and averaged 27.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 39.2% from deep in 20 games in Dallas. But Irving and Doncic had trouble forming a cohesive unit on the court, resulting in the Mavs' omission from the playoffs. Without question, the 2011 No. 1 overall pick is arguably the most naturally gifted player in the league. Irving can do good things for fantasy managers, although he'll need to stay out of trouble and remain healthy, which have both been issues in the past.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL during Monday's loss to the Sacramento Kings. The veteran was having an excellent season, averaging 25.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 40.1% shooting from behind the arc. Dallas has been without Anthony Davis (adductor), Dereck Lively II (ankle), Daniel Gafford (knee), and P.J. Washington (ankle), so Klay ThompsonNaji MarshallMax Christie, and Dante Exum could see an uptick in minutes on the floor and a bump in production with Irving out.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (knee) won't return to Monday's matchup with the Kings. Irving logged nine minutes, amassing seven points before suffering a left knee injury. The Mavs are calling the injury a sprain. However, Irving couldn't put any weight on his leg and needed assistance off the floor. He will likely undergo further testing. The veteran has had an excellent season, averaging 25.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 40.1% shooting from behind the arc. Dallas has been without Anthony Davis (adductor), Dereck Lively II (ankle), Daniel Gafford (knee), and P.J. Washington (ankle), so Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, Max Christie, and Dante Exum could see a bump in production if Irving is sidelined.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (shoulder) will miss Thursday's matchup against the Miami Heat. On Wednesday, Irving led the Mavericks to victory with a monster 42-point effort against the Golden State Warriors, and he gets a well-earned rest day on Thursday. Irving's absence opens up tons of usage for the likes of Spencer Dinwiddie, Max Christie, and Dante Exum (Achilles. The latter has been cleared for action after initially carrying a questionable tag.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (shoulder) was listed as questionable for Thursday's home game against the Heat. Irving logged 40 minutes in Wednesday night's win over the Warriors, pouring in 42 points to go with seven rebounds. He had 30 points on Monday, so he's having a huge week, but he's also battling shoulder soreness now, so he may have to sit out on Thursday against Miami. The Mavericks also listed Klay Thompson (foot) and Dante Exum (Achilles) as questionable, and if those main contributors sit, there will be heavy minutes and usage available for Spencer Dinwiddie, Jaden Hardy, and Max Christie in the backcourt.--Zach Thompson - RotoBaller
