Kyrie Irving Struggles In Preseason Play
1 year agoDallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving had a rough showing in Thursday's exhibition loss to Minnesota in Abu Dhabi. Luka Doncic scored a game-high 25 points in this one. However, Irving struggled, going 1-for-6 from the field to finish with two points. The 31-year-old was traded to the Mavericks ahead of last season's deadline and averaged 27.0 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.0 rebounds while shooting 39.2% from deep in 20 games in Dallas. But Irving and Doncic had trouble forming a cohesive unit on the court, resulting in the Mavs' omission from the playoffs. Without question, the 2011 No. 1 overall pick is arguably the most naturally gifted player in the league. Irving can do good things for fantasy managers, although he'll need to stay out of trouble and remain healthy, which have both been issues in the past.
