6 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving had a decent but uneventful outing Friday against the Indiana Pacers. Irving scored 17 points, shooting 7-for-14 from the floor with six assists. For many, Irving's production in the last three contests would be superb, but for Irving it is slightly disappointing. In the last three games, Irving has averaged 21.7 points, 4.3 assists and four rebounds, all below his season marks. The next opponent for the Celtics and Irving are the Orlando Magic on Sunday. The Magic give up the eighth fewest points per 100 possessions, so expect Irving to continue to dissatisfy DFS players.--Matt Sparkington - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoDallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (knee) won't return to Monday's matchup with the Kings. Irving logged nine minutes, amassing seven points before suffering a left knee injury. The Mavs are calling the injury a sprain. However, Irving couldn't put any weight on his leg and needed assistance off the floor. He will likely undergo further testing. The veteran has had an excellent season, averaging 25.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 40.1% shooting from behind the arc. Dallas has been without Anthony Davis (adductor), Dereck Lively II (ankle), Daniel Gafford (knee), and P.J. Washington (ankle), so Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, Max Christie, and Dante Exum could see a bump in production if Irving is sidelined.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

1 month agoDallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (shoulder) will miss Thursday's matchup against the Miami Heat. On Wednesday, Irving led the Mavericks to victory with a monster 42-point effort against the Golden State Warriors, and he gets a well-earned rest day on Thursday. Irving's absence opens up tons of usage for the likes of Spencer Dinwiddie, Max Christie, and Dante Exum (Achilles. The latter has been cleared for action after initially carrying a questionable tag.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoDallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (shoulder) was listed as questionable for Thursday's home game against the Heat. Irving logged 40 minutes in Wednesday night's win over the Warriors, pouring in 42 points to go with seven rebounds. He had 30 points on Monday, so he's having a huge week, but he's also battling shoulder soreness now, so he may have to sit out on Thursday against Miami. The Mavericks also listed Klay Thompson (foot) and Dante Exum (Achilles) as questionable, and if those main contributors sit, there will be heavy minutes and usage available for Spencer Dinwiddie, Jaden Hardy, and Max Christie in the backcourt.--Zach Thompson - RotoBaller

2 months agoDallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (shoulder) is off the injury report ahead of Tuesday's clash with the 76ers. The 32-year-old appeared in eight games leading up to Sunday's loss to the Cavs. However, he wasn't available for that one due to shoulder soreness. The Mavericks' front office made a bold move recently, with the team acquiring Anthony Davis (abdomen) from the Lakers in exchange for Luka Doncic (calf). It's unknown how Davis' presence will impact Irving's production. But with AD out on Tuesday, it will be business as usual for Irving.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
