Kyrie Irving Is Reportedly Not Anti-Vaccine
3 years agoWe've finally attained some clarity as to why Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving has refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine. According to a report in The Athletic, Irving has chosen not to get vaccinated because he is "upset that people are losing their jobs due to vaccine mandates." The report claims that Irving is "not anti-vaccine" and that he instead wants to provide a "voice for the voiceless." On Tuesday, the Brooklyn Nets publicly announced that Irving wouldn't be a part of their team until he was cleared to fully participate in all activities. As it currently stands, Irving is not eligible to play in home games due to New York City COVID-19 policies, but he is technically eligible to practice and play in road games. Something will have to give at some point in order for Irving to take the court for the Nets this year.
