Kyrie Irving Drops Season-High 40 Points Against Kings
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving was simply on fire in the team's 136-122 win over the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. Irving shot 9-for-11 from three-point range in the game and 15-for-22 from the field as a whole. He scored a season-high 40 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists, two steals and three turnovers. Uncharacteristically, he went only 1-for-4 from the free throw strike. Irving has now scored 35-plus points in three of his last six games. Next up for Irving and the Nets is a tough matchup against the Phoenix Suns, who rank amongst the top-10 in the league in defense.
