Kyrie Irving Drops 40 Points In Loss
7 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving dropped 40 points on Sunday against the Orlando Magic for his first 40-point game since he had 47 back on Nov. 20. He was incredibly efficient from the field, going 14-for-23 and 5-for-7 from deep. He also grabbed seven boards, which would be his seventh game in a row where he has had at least six rebounds. Despite his big game, the Celtics couldn’t pull out the victory, which unfortunately isn’t a novel occurrence. Irving is scoring 26.1 points in losses versus 23.5 points in victories this season. Fantasy managers can enjoy Sunday’s line but shouldn’t expect this if the Celtics are to find a consistent formula for winning.
