6 years agoKansas City Royals reliever Kyle Zimmer was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Monday afternoon. Zimmer, the fifth overall pick from 2012, finally made the Royals Opening Day roster, but he wholly underwhelmed. The 27-year-old allowed two runs on two hits to go along with five walks through two innings of work. He will likely get another opportunity later in the season, but ignore him for fantasy purposes until then. Glenn Sparkman was recalled in a corresponding move and will likely start against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
