Kyle Tyler Making Another Start On Friday
5 months agoMiami Marlins right-hander Kyle Tyler will make another start for the Fish on Friday in a very tough matchup on the road in Philadelphia against the Phillies, who own the best record in baseball. First baseman Bryce Harper (hamstring) and outfielder/designated hitter Kyle Schwarber (groin) were both injured on Thursday and probably won't be in the lineup on Friday, but it will still be a dangerous matchup for a pitcher making just his second major-league start. Tyler picked up a no-decision against the Seattle Mariners on Sunday when he gave up two runs while walking three and striking out two in his first career start. As long as the 27-year-old doesn't completely fall flat on Friday, there's a good chance he could make another start before the All-Star break in Miami with their rotation extremely banged up.
