Kyle Tucker Reaches Thrice And Swipes A Bag
1 year agoHouston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker went 2-for-5 with a pair of singles, a run scored, a walk, and a stolen base in a 13-5 win over the Boston Red Sox on Monday. The Astros were losing this game 4-3 heading into the top of the sixth before they exploded for six runs in the frame. They tacked on four more runs over the next two frames and that was enough to seal the Sox fate. Tucker did his part, reaching base three times and stealing his 26th bag of the season. The 26 swipes are a new career-high for the 26-year-old. Overall, Tucker is slashing .293/.374/.521 with 26 home runs, 97 RBI, and the aforementioned 26 thefts over 474 at-bats. He's just four home runs (30) and 10 RBI (107) away from tying his other career highs. He's quietly put together a phenomenal season.
