Kyle Tucker Could Be Moved Down The Batting Order
1 year agoHouston Astros manager Dusty Baker said on Tuesday that he's considering moving outfielder Kyle Tucker down in the batting order as a "temporary" measure. "They're terrible. I feel fine, just my swing is not there. I haven't done anything with any of the pitches. It's been tough," Tucker said about his playoff at-bats. Tucker is struggling mightily in this year's postseason, having gone 2-for-22 (.091) with a double, RBI, three walks, seven strikeouts and two runs scored in six games to this point. The Astros can't afford to fall behind any further after dropping the first two games of the seven-game series to the Texas Rangers. Expect to see Tucker hitting in the bottom half of Houston's lineup for Game 3 of the ALCS on Wednesday against the Rangers and right-hander Max Scherzer, who Tucker has gone 1-for-6 with an RBI and three K's against in his career.
