1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Kyle Trask is reportedly closing the gap on Baker Mayfield in the team's competition for the starting quarterback role. According to Bailey Adams of PewterReport.com, Trask has taken care of the football and is looking impressive during training camp. "While Mayfield may have been the early favorite because of his experience in the NFL and his familiarity with (offensive coordinator) Dave Canales' style of offense, Trask has made strides and closed the gap in the last few days," Adams wrote. "What he lacks in experience, he's made up for by being decisive and not turning the ball over." Mayfield has reportedly thrown five interceptions at camp, while Trask has thrown just one. If Trask can win the starting job, he could be a fantasy football sleeper with two stud receivers in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
