Kyle Stowers Slashing .251/.352/.522 At Triple-A
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfield prospect Kyle Stowers has been putting up some impressive power numbers since the start of the 2021 season. He began the 2021 campaign at High-A, but hit his way up to Triple-A by the end of the year. Across three levels in 2021, he posted an .898 OPS while launching 27 homers over 124 games. This year, he's been exclusively at Triple-A, apart from a brief call-up to the majors. Over 68 Triple-A games, he's hit .251/.352/.522 with 15 home runs, 22 doubles, 47 RBI and 42 runs. Strikeouts are a bit of a problem for him, but he's made some strides there this season. Last year, he struck out 171 times, but this year, he's only fanned 68 times so far. His call-up to the majors in mid-June was proof that the team knows he's ready when they need him. If you're looking to stash a hitting prospect with a good chance of a promotion soon, Stowers is a great candidate to consider. It's likely that his next call-up will be a permanent one.
