Kyle Schwarber Homers, Triples In Loss To Braves
6 days agoPhiladelphia Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber went 3-for-3 with a home run and a triple in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves. He drove in three runs, scored twice, and drew a walk in the contest. Schwarber had another two hard-hit balls in this one -- both off Braves pitcher Chris Sale. His triple was a 105.1 MPH laser that bounced off the base of the right-center-field wall. Then, he blasted a Sale four-seam fastball 462 feet at 116.7 MPH over the right field wall in the top of the fifth inning. The 32-year-old has been blistering at the dish, batting .324 (12-for-37) with one double, one triple, and five homers -- tying him for second in the MLB.
