Kyle Pitts Has Upside But Comes With Hefty Draft Price
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts enters his rookie year with high expectations after being selected fourth overall, the highest a tight end has ever been picked in the draft. Pitts has the size- 6'6 and 245 pounds- and athleticism- 4.44 40-yard dash and 33.5-inch vertical leap- to be a matchup nightmare right away in the NFL and will get every opportunity to do so with a ton of targets available sans Julio Jones. New head coach Arthur Smith utilized tight ends often in his 2020 Titans offense, targeting the combination of Jonnu Smith and Anthony Firkser 118 times for 80 catches, 835 yards, and nine touchdowns. Pitts has the potential to be a top-five tight end even if he shares the field with Hayden Hurst but is being drafted at his ceiling with a 63 ADP, leaving plenty of room for a letdown.
