4 years agoToronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (rest) will not play against Oklahoma City on Sunday. The veteran will get another night off to rest, his fourth straight absence, as the team looks toward the draft and the 2022 campaign. With Fred VanVleet (hip) also out, expect Malachi Flynn and Gary Trent Jr. to get plenty of run in the backcourt against OKC.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Kyle Lowry (hip) will not be available for Saturday's clash against the Brooklyn Nets. The veteran playmaker has been ruled out for a fourth consecutive game. A couple of weeks ago, Lowry landed on the shelf due to an issue with his right hip. Tyrese Maxey should again eat up all the minutes he can handle at the point guard position, with Jared Butler providing cover off the bench. Since arriving from the Washington Wizards, Butler has averaged 7.5 points and 3.5 assists in 13.8 minutes. However, he logged only four minutes in Thursday's loss to the Boston Celtics.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Kyle Lowry (hip) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics. Lowry is managing a right hip injury and will miss his third straight game. Lowry has played in 33 games this season and has missed 19 games due to various injuries. This season, Lowry is averaging only 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. Jared Butler should see some minutes off the bench behind starting playmaker Tyrese Maxey, who is returning after suffering a knee injury.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

1 month agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Kyle Lowry (hip) didn't practice on Tuesday, leaving his status uncertain for Thursday's matchup against the Boston Celtics. The veteran playmaker is managing a right hip injury and has sat out two games. Lowry's performance levels have dropped off massively in 2024-25, as he is averaging only 4.0 points and 2.8 assists in 18.9 minutes. Newly acquired Jared Butler will take on extra responsibilities if Lowry doesn't play on Thursday. However, he probably won't have much impact in fantasy basketball, as starting point guard Tyrese Maxey (knee) appears to be on track to return.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Kyle Lowry (hip) will sit out Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Lowry is managing a right hip injury and will miss his second straight game. The veteran will now have over a week to recover during the All-Star break. He has averaged only 12.5 minutes per contest this month, and his days as a solid fantasy contributor are gone. With the 38-year-old out of action, Jared Butler may get a few extra minutes of action behind starting playmaker Tyrese Maxey on Wednesday.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
