Kyle Lewis Will Start The Season On The Injured List
Kyle Lewis (knee) will not be in the opening day lineup, and might not appear in a game for some time. When Lewis initially collided with the outfield wall in a Cactus League matchup, it was not thought that he would miss any time at all, but he ended up being held out for the rest of spring training. Now he's going on the injured list with a deep bone bruise, and manager Scott Servais says his recovery could be a matter of weeks. In his stead, Taylor Trammell is expected to take over as the everyday center fielder, and Jake Fraley is likely to slot into left field. This is a hit to fantasy managers who drafted Lewis, but he should be held on rosters for now.
