Kyle Lewis Placed On Concussion Injured List
2 years agoThe Seattle Mariners placed outfielder Kyle Lewis (head) on the 7-day concussion injured list on Wednesday. The move is retroactive to May 29. In a corresponding move, the team activated infielder Abraham Toro (shoulder) from the 10-day injured list. This past Saturday, Lewis was hit in the shoulder and helmet by a pitch from Houston Astros pitcher Jose Urquidy. He initially stayed in the game, but then began dealing with concussion-like symptoms. Lewis made his season debut on May 24 and only lasted four games before landing back on the injured list. He made a strong impression over that four-game stretch, hitting a pair of home runs and only striking out once over 15 at-bats.
