Kyle Lewis Extends Hitting Streak To 10 Games With Homer
4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Kyle Lewis extended his hitting streak to 10 games on Sunday going 1-for-4 with a home run. Though this has been a great 10-day run for Lewis, there are some alarming signs that he is bound for some big regression. Through the Mariners first 10 games, Lewis has struck out in all of them and has multiple strikeouts in seven of the 10 giving him a 38.6% strikeout rate. In addition, his three home runs are his only extra-base hits of the season. Lewis has drastically decreased his average launch angle from 10.4 in 2019 to 3.7 in 2020 and is sporting a very unrealistic .700 BABIP. All of these metrics indicate that reality is going to catch up to Lewis and fantasy owners may want to consider trading him while his value is high, especially in points leagues.
