2 years agoQualifying at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday morning was dominated by the Fords, as drivers for that manufacturer took the top 8 starting spots for Sunday's Ambetter Health 400. Kyle Larson was the highest-qualifying Chevrolet and he will start Sunday's race from the 9th position. Last year in the two Atlanta races, Larson got caught up in an accident in the first event and ended up finishing 30th, and then wound up 13th in the second 2022 race at this track. Despite finishing 4th and 2nd over the last two races this year, Larson will need a strong run here at Atlanta on Sunday in order to bounce back from the penalty levied against him for the confiscated illegal louvers at Phoenix last weekend.--Jordan McAbee
