Kyle Larson Is Fast Enough To Get Elusive First Win At Darlington This Weekend
2 years agoOnly four active drivers have led more laps at Darlington Raceway than Kyle Larson (686), and those four are Kyle Busch (899), Kevin Harvick (813), Denny Hamlin (792), and Martin Truex, Jr. (769). All four of those drivers also have at least one victory at "The Track Too Tough To Tame," and a combined 10 wins between them. Larson's win total at Darlington currently sits at zero, but that's likely not going to stay there forever. It could even change this weekend. Larson showed incredible long-run speed during the practice session here on Saturday morning, posting the best 30-lap average despite going out in the second round of practice when the track was slower. Long-run speed is what it takes to run well at Darlington, and Kyle Larson has both that and a strong history at this track. Look for him to contend for the Goodyear 400 win on Sunday.
