Kyle Larson Finishes 10th In The Enjoy Illinois 300
6 months agoOn Sunday afternoon, Kyle Larson finished 10th in Sunday's Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway. Because of last week's chaotic weather situation, and given that he crashed out at Darlington, Sunday was Larson's first full, points-paying race since his victory at Kansas back on May 5th. Even with missing last week's race at Charlotte, the Hendrick Motorsports star currently sits second in the NASCAR playoff standings, a testament to just how strong his 2024 has been. Although Sunday's race was rather underwhelming from the DFS side, earning just 41 DraftKings points on a salary of $11,000, there was one noteworthy moment that stood for the No. 5 in Sunday's contest. Specifically, on lap 140, Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch made contact with one another, causing both to spin. While Larson was able to recover from the incident, Busch was not so lucky and had to take his car to the garage ending his day prematurely. Given that both drivers were rather calm about the incident following the race, it is unlikely that there will be any lingering drama or tension between the two moving forward. Regardless, up next for the 12-year Cup veteran is a trip to his home state of California for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.
