Kyle Larson's speed intervals on 1.5-mile tracks are well-documented, but the driver again has a one-race cushion in the round of eight over Martin Truex Jr. Metrics has Larson starting on the pole this Sunday at the Texas Motor Speedway. The No. 5 driver ranks fourth with an average finish of 10.0 on intermediate tracks since 2018. That 108.6 driver rating, combined with three wins, makes him a bit of a formidable force. However, there is a little bit of concern with Hendricks and their alternator issues. It has happened several times in the last year now. Larson may have some issues at times but should be able to contend.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
