Kyle Larson Begins Seventh At Chicago On Sunday
1 year agoKyle Larson seemed to enjoy the track and its technical aspects more than most drivers. Larson qualified as the fastest Hendrick Motorsports car but in seventh. That was a surprise. He wound up more than a second off the pole effort of Denny Hamlin. Now, the No. 5 driver does have four road wins and will race anywhere. Larson is only one of two NASCAR drivers who has a driver rating of 100 or greater on road courses the past three years. Chase Elliott is the other. It will be interesting to see how longer-run speed plays out for Larson on Sunday evening.
