Kyle Kuzma Leads Lakers With 25 Points
4 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma scored a team-high 25 points in Thursday's loss to Philly, shooting 9-for-21 from the field and 3-for-9 from outside. It wasn't a great shooting night and Kuzma has struggled with his shot for a while now, going 43 percent or below from the field in five straight games. He missed a second consecutive double-double by one rebound on Thursday and finished things off with one steal. Kuzma carries a much heavier offensive load after LeBron James (ankle) joined Anthony Davis (calf) on the sidelines, but the team badly needs him to be more efficient. He'll be back on the floor Friday night against the Cavaliers in a favorable matchup. However, Kuzma has gone an ugly 41.8 percent from the field on zero rest days this season, and he'll likely need a lot of shots again to get near to 20 points.
