Kyle Hendricks Earns Another Quality Start
3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks earned his 17th quality start of the season on Friday versus the Chicago White Sox. Hendricks went six innings and allowed seven hits, two runs, three walks (two intentional) and struck out seven on the afternoon. Hendricks has quietly been having a very productive season and is 13-4 with a 3.68 ERA. Hendricks should continue to be a valuable option for managers moving forward, but could have trouble picking up wins with the Cubs offense taking a drastic hit with the subtractions of Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez, Kris Bryant and Joc Pederson. Next up for Hendricks will be a battle versus the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.
