Kyle Hendricks Decent Thursday Versus Washington

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks did what he had to in order to keep the Cubs in the game Thursday versus the Nationals. He would last only five innings while giving up four runs (only one earned) and left with the team trailing 4-3. Hendricks did not have his best stuff but by keeping his team close, it allowed the Cubs to be close enough to need only one run (which is all they got) over the last four innings of regulation. Due to three of the runs being unearned, Hendricks actually helped his owners' (and lowered his own seasonal) ERA. Hendricks is a solid option in many leagues down the stretch.
