Kyle Hendricks Close To A Return
2 years agoChicago Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) is making good progress as he tries to return to the team after a right shoulder issue that he suffered last July, and he hasn't pitched in a big league game since. The 33-year-old is expected to throw in a simulated game on Saturday before beginning a rehab assignment, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports. If everything goes as planned, he should be back in the rotation at some point in May. Hendricks has been a solid arm for a while now but struggled in 2022. The veteran posted a 4.80 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 66 strikeouts and 24 walks over 16 starts and 84.1 innings. When he's healthy, fantasy managers can only hope for decent ratios and a handful of wins, as the strikeouts won't be there.
