Kyle Harrison Placed On The 15-Day Injured List
6 months agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Kyle Harrison (ankle) was placed on the 15-day injured list retroactive to June 13 with a right ankle sprain. In a corresponding move, the Giants promoted right-handed pitcher Spencer Bivens from Triple-A Sacramento to the major league roster. Harrison was scheduled to start Sunday's series finale against the Los Angeles Angels, but instead, the Giants will opt to shift to a bullpen game. Southpaw Erik Miller is slated to serve a the opener. While it is unclear how much time the 22-year-old will miss, he is eligible to return to the mound on June 28. The former third-round pick has struggled at times this season and currently holds a 3.96 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 22:68 BB:K ratio through his first extended look at the majors.
