Kyle Harrison Optioned To Triple-A
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Kyle Harrison was demoted to Triple-A Sacramento Friday night to make room for right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling. Harrison is regarded as one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, arguably the best left-handed one. He got a little cup of coffee with the Giants that saw him post a 5.18 ERA through five starts. He was a little too hittable in his first go-around, giving up 26 hits in 24 1/3 innings, but he also struck out 29 during that time. The seven home runs given up is a big concern, so that should be something to work on down on the farm, but the future is still bright for the 22-year-old and he should get a chance to stick in the Giants rotation in 2024.
