Kyle Gibson Scratched From Start, Possibly Due To Weather
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Kyle Gibson was scratched from his scheduled start on Wednesday night, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. There is no word of any injury issue, but Plunkett writes that this scratch could be to prevent Gibson from being used in a rain-shortened start, as there is rain in the forecast throughout the area surrounding the ballpark. Connor Brogdon will start in his place as he makes his first appearance since being activated from the injured list earlier in the day. Managers should keep an eye out for further updates on Gibson, but it's possible that he could be back on the mound on Thursday.
