Kyle Garlick Goes Yard For Second Straight Day
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Kyle Garlick went 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and a home run in Monday's 8-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. Garlick broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning with a solo shot to left field off of Orioles' lefty John Means, which left his bat at 107.5 MPH. The 29-year-old endured an 0-for-12 stretch at the plate last week but is 3-for-6 since, with two homers, four RBIs, and three runs scored. Garlick has vastly different platoon splits, as he's slashing .172/.200/.345 with one home run against righties while posting a .318/.326/.593 mark with two home runs against southpaws this season. He makes for a solid low-cost option in DFS formats when there's a lefty on the bump.
