Kyle Garlick Clubs Second Home Run Of Spring Against Boston
4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Kyle Garlick went 1-for-3 with a solo blast in the bottom of the fourth inning against Boston for his second homer in Grapefruit League action. The veteran outfielder's blast left the bat at an exit velocity of 100.3 MPH, with his two outs also leaving the bat at 100-plus MPH. Garlick has compiled two homers and five RBI in two games, as he's made a convincing case for a bench spot so far, though there's still a fair amount of time left in spring training. He ended last season on the injured list with an oblique strain- and while he could earn some playing time if he keeps raking like this, he's still going to be hard-pressed to find consistent playing time with Alex Kirilloff and Brent Rooker also in the mix for at-bats.
