Kyle Freeland Turns In Quality Start On Sunday
4 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland earned a win in his first start of 2020 against the Texas Rangers on Sunday. Freeland pitched six innings and allowed four hits, three walks and two earned runs while striking out five. Freeland followed up his solid 2018 campaign with a nightmare season in 2019. He went 3-11 with a 6.73 ERA last season. He's shown the ability to be a solid fantasy pitcher in the past and he can be - at the minimum - a sneaky fill-in starter in deep leagues when the matchup is right. He should be primarily targeted for road games due to his hitter-friendly home park. His next start will be a home game against the San Diego Padres on Saturday.
