Kyle Freeland Tosses Six Scoreless Innings
2 days agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland was fantastic on the mound during Friday's season opener against the Tampa Bay Rays. The southpaw struck out seven batters while allowing two hits over six scoreless innings in a no-decision. Freeland only threw 67 pitches in this game before the Rockies decided to go to the bullpen. The left-handed held a 2-0 lead when he exited, but sadly his bullpen was unable to hold it down for him. Regardless, Freeland was excellent during this outing, but could have some trouble in his next start against the Philadelphia Phillies. Fantasy managers might want to wait and see how he does next time out before jumping on the waiver wire for Freeland.
